View FlightsFlyAirVan flights to the Mara leave from Wilson Airport (WIL), Nairobi's domestic and safari airport. Our dedicated check-in terminal and the Silver Oak Café mean you can relax before boarding. If you fly into Kenya at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), plan a road transfer to Wilson and leave a comfortable margin, as Nairobi traffic can be slow.
The flight from Nairobi to the Maasai Mara takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Scheduled safari flights may call at more than one airstrip, so listen for your airstrip's name before you leave the aircraft. From the window you'll often see the Great Rift Valley, and wildlife on the plains as you come in to land. Your lodge driver will usually be waiting beside the airstrip, and many guests start their first game drive on the way to camp.

FlyAirVan flights depart from Wilson Airport (WIL) in Nairobi, not from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Allow time for the road transfer if you are connecting from an international flight.
About 45 minutes to an hour from Nairobi Wilson, depending on your airstrip and any stops on the way.
Scheduled safari flights can call at several Mara airstrips. Your itinerary shows the planned stops, and the crew will announce each airstrip.
Your lodge or safari operator normally collects you from the airstrip. Send them your flight number and arrival time in advance.
